e Protocolli Mindfulness-Based
English version below

English bio
MARIA CHIARA MASCIA
Viniyoga | Mindful & Accessible Yoga | TCTSY-Facilitator
I am a yoga and meditation teacher and trainer based in Rome, Italy. I offer a secular, essential and accessible practice rooted in embodied mindfulness. My approach focuses on cultivating a compassionate awareness of the body, making yoga and mindfulness practices inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of gender, social status, or personal background.
I specialize in individual therapeutic sessions, supporting individuals with disabilities, chronic pain, psychosomatic conditions, or other forms of suffering. My work integrates the systematic and personalized method of Viniyoga — a modern haṭha yoga tradition emphasizing individualized and therapeutic approaches — with Accessible Yoga and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), for which I became a certified facilitator in 2021.
My academic background includes a degree in Humanities and History of Art, followed by two post-graduate Master’s degrees: Yoga Studies: Mind and Body in the Traditions of Asia at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and Neuroscience, Mindfulness, and Contemplative Practices at the University of Pisa.
I have completed over 1,300 hours of certified yoga training through Ayco (Rome, Italy) and ETY Étude et Transmission du Yoga (Belgium). My training includes advanced studies in Yoga Cikitsa (therapeutic applications) and Accessible Yoga. I am a member of Y.A.N.I., the Italian Association of Yoga Teachers.
Since 2017, I have been an instructor for teacher training courses and professional development seminars with Ayco Academy in Rome. I also draw inspiration from my dedicated mindfulness meditation practice in the Early and Theravāda Buddhist traditions, deepened through retreats with Bhikkhu Anālayo and Bhikkhunī Dhammadhinnā of the Āgama Research Group.
